GRILLWOOD is a product consisting of a cardboard box containing a kindling starter, firewood and hornbeam logs. All of the contents are of natural origin, which means we have avoided carcinogenic or harmful petroleum derivatives that, in addition to the above, spoil the taste of food prepared on the grill.
The path to the GRILLWOOD product, which produces top-quality wood embers, was not an easy one. We paid attention to the choice of wood that will provide long-lasting embers, the dimensions of the logs that are a compromise between the speed of combustion and the size of the embers, the type of cardboard that will not leave a lot of ash, and at the same time withstand the demands of transport and handling, etc. The kindling starter is entirely of organic origin.
Production is carried out with a large share of human labor due to the specificity of the packaging.
GRILLWOOD is a product that uses wood that has a 40% lower carbon footprint per unit mass than coal. The production plan includes locally produced boxes, and in this way we want to reduce our impact on climate change by reducing transport emissions.
The GRILLWOOD box ignites in a controlled, localized and simple manner, and its non-disintegrating construction reduces the risk of fire.
Considering that 96% of fires in the EU are caused by the human factor, we hope that our product will contribute to the prevention of fires in nature.
